Ipsum strengthens power capabilities with acquisition of Energypeople

Ipsum Group has acquired Energypeople, strengthening its Power division with the addition of specialist engineering consultancy, design and advisory expertise.

The acquisition expands Ipsum’s capability across the power sector, adding highly regarded technical consultancy and engineering design services to its existing infrastructure delivery offering. It strengthens the Group’s ability to support customers throughout the lifecycle of power infrastructure projects, from strategic planning and network design through to delivery, commissioning and ongoing asset optimisation.

With offices in the north and south of the UK, Energypeople brings decades of experience supporting electricity networks, utilities, developers, regulators and infrastructure owners across the UK and international markets.

The business provides specialist consultancy and engineering design services across transmission and distribution networks, including network planning, engineering design, technical advisory services, regulatory support and asset management.

Energypeople has built a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects, combining deep industry expertise with a collaborative approach that helps customers navigate the evolving energy landscape and the transition to a low-carbon future.

Together, the businesses combine strategic consultancy, engineering design and specialist infrastructure delivery, creating a broader end-to-end capability that will be further enhanced through Ipsum’s national footprint.
