Ipsum are delighted to announce the acquisition of Utility Engineering Services Ltd (UES), a highly skilled electrical engineering and ICP specialist.
Based in Sale, Manchester UES has a wealth of experience in electrical power engineering design services, which includes network design ranging from 11kV upto 132kV.
UES marks the fifth acquisition in the power sector and seventh acquisition overall for Ipsum, and helps strengthen our ICP presence across the UK. The UES team will complement and lead our existing ICP capabilities and expand our capacity to support clients in creating new infrastructure investment that play a part in new developments and the navigation of the clean energy transition. UES will be re-branded as Ipsum.
Gary Barker, MD of UES commented: “We created a positive relationship with Ipsum early in this process, and as a result we felt that Ipsum was clearly aligned with our complementary capabilities and the direction of growth aspirations. By transitioning into being an integral part of Ipsum, we will be able to further unlock and explore the wider potential of the power sector together.”
Richard Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Ipsum commented: “We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of UES, which expands our ICP capability and service offering and will allow us to capitalise on new energy infrastructure opportunities with new and existing customers. We offer Gary and the team a warm welcome and look forward to supporting the future growth aspirations of the business.”
