Ipsum has restated its commitment to responsible business practice by joining the United Nations Global Compact and UN Global Compact Network UK.
The compact is a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices. With this announcement, Ipsum proudly joins the thousands of other companies around the world who are committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want.
The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of goals and issues embodied in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Andrew Cowan, CEO at Ipsum said: “In line with our commitment to these principles, we are proud to stand alongside more than 15,000 companies and 3,500 non-business signatories in over 160 countries. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
“Signing the commitment is the easy part. Our focus now is on continuously improving our processes and working with suppliers do the same to ensure we uphold these fundamental principles across everything we do.”
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world.
