At Ipsum, we are committed to supporting organisations in providing resilient critical infrastructure through technology-led asset management. Our platform offers three main tiers of digital solutions, making it an indispensable tool for our customers in the utilities and large industrial and commercial markets.
Data capture
We leverage cutting-edge technologies such as drones, robotic pipeline cameras, photogrammetry, and connected mobile applications to collect comprehensive data on assets, enabling us to provide our customers with a rich and detailed picture of their assets.
Our system, Ipsum.live Surveys, offers a range of techniques for data collection, including 3D lidar scanning, aerial drones, CCTV pipe surveying, and human inspections. By utilising these techniques, we can gather accurate and reliable data on the condition of assets, allowing us to provide valuable insights for better decision-making.
At Ipsum, we believe that leveraging the latest technologies is essential to providing exceptional service and delivering value to our customers. By using Ipsum.live Surveys, we can collect data in a variety of ways, ensuring that we provide a complete and accurate view of assets, no matter what their condition or location.
3D laser scanning surveys
We understand the importance of efficiently and effectively surveying your assets and properties. That’s why we offer 3D laser scanning surveys, both aerial and subsurface, to construct immersive Digital Twins of your locations. This eliminates the need to deploy numerous survey teams to hazardous settings or structures, minimising time on-site, project duration, and expenses.
Our surveys cover a range of locations, from pipe crossings and underground reservoirs to above-ground pumping stations and larger-scale assessments, such as wind farm generating installations. With the ability to quickly cover enormous expanses of land or buildings, we provide our customers with a complete view of their assets. Our surveys may be conducted from a distance of up to 150 metres with an accuracy of +/- 2mm, and we can remotely photograph inaccessible regions to reduce health and safety issues.
In addition to our 3D laser scanning surveys, we also offer intelligent aerial surveys with thermal imaging capability, utilising drones to identify asset inefficiencies instantly. This cost-effective inspection methodology is safer, capturing comprehensive asset data quickly, and supports your network development strategy and opex budget planning.
Data monitoring
At the core of Ipsum.live is our Assets module, which provides valuable insights into the condition, performance, risk, and health of your assets. With this information, you can effectively manage your asset portfolio by balancing cost, risk, and performance.
Ipsum.live Assets is a comprehensive system that collects and organises asset data obtained from surveys conducted by Ipsum or our clients. By analysing this data, Ipsum.live Assets provides operators with valuable insights and reports on asset operations, health, and criticality.
Our innovative digital asset management solutions optimise traditional infrastructure maintenance activities, enabling us to extend asset longevity through purpose-built tools and systems. Our solutions have been successfully adopted by leading UK water companies like United Utilities and Severn Trent, driving a systems thinking approach to manage their large regional assets.
We offer various asset tagging methods, including bar code, QR code, RFID, and virtual tagging incorporated in the blueprint. Our patented Ipsum Lock, an RFID-enabled manhole cover lock, prevents unauthorised access to the chamber and allows authorised users to scan the tag and access data on asset issues, such as safety concerns or localised consumer impact resulting from maintenance work on the asset.
Job management
Our cloud-based management system, Ipsum.live Jobs, provides end-to-end visibility of tasks and activities, allowing you to optimise your programmes and manage issues effectively. This system is designed for works and people management and is developed to align with frameworks, projects, or maintenance programmes.
With Ipsum.live Jobs, you can manage all levels of your business, from depot and plant management to street works, quality management, and operative competencies. This system provides full visibility of progress, compliance, quality, costs, and customer service for individual jobs, work batches, or major projects.
Ipsum.live Jobs offers a comprehensive framework and task management capability that covers planning and scheduling from the initial job request to full site close-down and handover. This system also provides asset GPS locations, pre and post photographic audit data, costs, and handover/compliance evidence.
The system’s screen display includes specific dropdowns that show additional information, such as the address via Google Street View, risk assessment information, pre-start checks, start-on-site times, spoil on-site, and progress. Ipsum.live Jobs provides a centralised platform for workforce and maintenance management, enabling you to streamline your operations and enhance your overall efficiency.
