Distributed Generation

We represent a number of clients covering a broad range of disciplines and will assist through all stages of the distribution network connection process.

Our knowledge of electricity distribution networks and the regulatory framework enables us to quickly assess a scheme and identify the most expedient way to develop the utility connection strategy in the safest and most cost-effective way.

What is Distributed Generation?

Distributed generation (DG) is also known as embedded generation. Distributed Generation is electricity generating plant that is connected to a distribution network rather than the transmission network. UES are committed to protecting the environment and recognise the role that renewable energy generation can have in helping organisations and individuals to combat climate change and prepare for a low carbon future.

We represent a number of clients covering a broad range of disciplines and will assist through all stages of the distribution network connection process. From project inception to final commissioning for generation sites including windfarms, coal bed methane plants, solar (photo-voltaics), biomass, hydro electric power, combined heat and power (CHP) and battery technologies.

We ensure design optimisation by modelling distribution networks using industry software, checking for likely impacts such as fault level capability and load flow implications on client, IDNO and DNO HV/LV networks.
